UMG provides income replacement should something happen to you that prevents you from working through short-term disability and long-term disability, administered by The Hartford.

Short-term disability

Short-term disability provides income replacement for illness or injury that lasts longer than 7 days. UMG will continue to pay your salary for up to 12 weeks at 100% with the following 14 weeks at up to 60%, coordinated with any disability benefits you are entitled to receive. This benefit is provided at no cost to you.

Long-term disability

Long-Term Disability provides income replacement if you experience an extended illness or injury that lasts longer than 180 days. There are two options for LTD:

Basic LTD

Basic LTD provides you 50% income replacement up to a maximum of $10,000 per month. UMG provides this benefit automatically at no cost to eligible employees.

Voluntary LTD*

In addition to Basic LTD, you have the option to purchase additional LTD coverage of 60% income replacement to a maximum of $20,000 per month. This benefit is employee-paid.
