Voluntary Hospital Indemnity insurance pays you a cash benefit in the event of a hospital stay for a covered accident, illness, or childbirth.* This cash benefit can be used at your discretion. This benefit is employee-paid, and you have the option of electing between two plans:

• Low plan:
  • The plan pays $1,000 for each covered hospital admission,
  • $150 for each day of your covered hospital stay (up to 90 days)
• High plan:
  • The plan pays $2,000 for each covered hospital admission,
  • $200 for each day of your covered hospital stay (up to 90 days)

While the benefit is paid with after-tax payroll deductions, the benefit payments are provided tax free.

Note: You may add eligible dependents to this plan; however, if your spouse is also a UMG employee enrolled in the same plan, they cannot be added as a dependent due to plan restrictions on dual coverage.
